Amazon Announces the Launch of Amazon Supply Chain, Empowering Sellers to Conduct End-to-End Supply Chain Management Across Sales Channels
Amazon's leading logistics, distribution, and transportation capabilities help sellers maintain product inventory, achieve faster and more reliable transportation, and significantly reduce costs.
This week, at Amazon's annual global seller conference Accelerate, Amazon announced the launch of the Amazon Supply Chain by Amazon integrated solution, an end-to-end, fully automated supply chain service that will help sellers quickly and reliably deliver their products directly from manufacturers to customers around the world. With Amazon's leading logistics, distribution, and transportation capabilities, Amazon supply chain solutions can help sellers maintain product inventory, achieve faster and more reliable transportation, and significantly reduce costs.
With the help of Amazon's supply chain, Amazon will help sellers extract inventory from manufacturing factories around the world, handle cross-border transportation, customs clearance, and ground transportation, store inventory in bulk, manage replenishment from Amazon and other sales channels, and deliver directly to customers. Sellers can now focus on creating high-quality products and developing their business for their customers, while Amazon is responsible for logistics, reducing costs, and improving delivery speed. The main advantages of Amazon's supply chain include:
-Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) Exclusive Cross border Discount: Amazon will automatically offer a maximum 25% discount on all cross-border shipments through Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) to Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD), further reducing the cost for sellers to use the Amazon supply chain. Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD) is Amazon's low-cost warehousing service that enables sellers to store inventory in Amazon distribution centers and seamlessly deliver goods in bulk.
-Simplify Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD) warehousing in the sales country through the Cooperative Carrier Program (PCP): In addition to cross-border transportation through Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), sellers can also use the Cooperative Carrier Program (PCP) to simplify warehousing into Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD) in the sales country later this year. A trustworthy carrier will provide reliable and fast transportation time, reducing costs by up to 25% compared to other alternative solutions.
-Upgraded and cost-effective Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD): The Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD) is now open to all sellers, offering a discount of up to 80% compared to Amazon Logistics (FBA) warehousing fees for bulk warehousing. Without the storage fees for the fourth quarter's peak sales season, sellers are able to manage their inventory levels more efficiently even during the peak sales season. In the near future, sellers will be able to book low-cost, long-term bulk inventory at more favorable discounts several months in advance.
-New Multi Channel Distribution (MCD) Capability: Multi Channel Distribution (MCD) helps sellers ship goods in bulk from Amazon Warehouse Distribution Center (AWD) to other online and physical sales channels, allowing sellers to utilize unified inventory to restock all their sales and distribution channels, rather than just targeting Amazon operations centers. Multi Channel Distribution (MCD) is undergoing trial operation among the first batch of sellers and is expected to open to all sellers later this year.
-Automatic replenishment of inventory to Amazon Logistics (FBA): In addition to cost savings through Amazon Warehouse Distribution Network (AWD), Amazon will now utilize advanced machine learning and supply chain optimization capabilities to automatically replenish inventory to the most suitable Amazon operations center in response to consumer demand, allowing sellers to enjoy faster Amazon logistics delivery speed, And meet the delivery needs of sales channels outside of Amazon through Multi Channel Delivery (MCF). Helping sellers store the appropriate quantity of goods in the appropriate place to meet their customer needs can help improve Amazon Logistics (FBA) daily and next day delivery rates, and can increase sellers' sales of goods by an average of 15%.
Our long-standing vision has been to help sellers provide services to their customers around the world as easily as possible, and to provide simple, fast, and cost-effective solutions to help sellers cope with unpredictable and increasingly complex challenges. This is an important investment we have made in helping sellers achieve success, "said Dharmesh Mehta, Vice President of Amazon Global Seller Services, With Amazon's supply chain, Amazon will directly pick up goods from sellers' factories, manage supply chain logistics, and deliver them to customers' doorstep. This allows sellers to delegate their complex supply chain logistics tasks to Amazon, whether in Amazon stores or through other sales channels (including online and physical stores) Products sold. We are pleased to help sellers on and off Amazon save more costs, achieve higher business growth, and give them more time to continue developing amazing products for customers.
